Barrhead Burgh Band, the 2004 2nd Section Champion Band of Scotland are pleased to announce the official re-launch of their website. With an updated design and look the new website contains a whole host of up to date information about the band
 
One of Scotland's most progressive bands, Barrhead are undergoing something of a resurgence of late and over the last 18 months has benefited from a number of experienced and quality players signing with the band. In addition to the win at the Scottish Championships in March, Musical Director Brian N Keachie also guided the band to victory at the 2nd Section of the Carnegie Trust Contest in April and at the 2004 West of Scotland Charities Band Association Contest in May
 
The band currently look forward to a full diary of contests and events throughout the latter part of this year including appearances at Brass in the Park, The Besson National Finals in Harrogate, Fife Charities Band Association Contest and the Whitburn Band Invitation Contest
 
In addition, the band will be presenting a Pre-National Championship Finals Concert on Friday 3rd September at Govan Citadel Salvation Army. The concert will also feature Vocal Soloist Bobby Irvine, Govan Citadel Songsters (Chic Ramsay) and will provide an opportunity for the band to present a public performance of ‘Chaucer’s Tunes’, the 2nd Section Finals Test Piece
 
The band welcome making the return to the 1st Section in November and anticipate further building and development to achieve success at a higher level
